MyHorror

Now you all know I hate MySpace. With a passion. Why? Perverts. I don't want my kids (or anyone else's, for that matter) going near them (when I have kids, that is).

But here is some dude's personal experience with MySpace. Take a look.

Why Internet Explorer Still Sucks

First of all, I highly recommend that everyone who reads this article download and install Internet Explorer 7 for one specific reason: so they can uninstall it in disgust and curse Microsoft.

It seems many people have been caught up in the hype surrounding IE7, and, simply due to the loudness of Microsoft, they are actually beginning to believe Internet Destroyer is now as good as (or even better than) Firefox 2. In this brief article, I will attempt to coax these feeble-minded citizens from the edge of the cliff and back to the world of reason.

To do this, I will use the following structure: IE7 Pros & Cons, and then FF2 Pros & Cons. Note that I will only mention things in Pros & Cons that are not seen in the competition.

Internet Explorer 7

IE7 now has thumbnail previews of all your open tabs.
Pros
  • Thumbnail previews
  • Tab groups
  • Content filter
Cons
  • OverActiveX support
  • Heavy integration with Windows
  • Confusing security controls
  • Terrible page rendering
  • No themes
  • Minuscule developer base
  • Confusing interface
  • Slow page loads
  • No spell checker
Firefox 2

FF2 incorporates a new scam detector to protect users from forgeries.

Pros
  • Themes
  • No ActiveX support
  • No integration
  • Tighter security controls
  • Huge extension developer base
  • Simpler interface
  • Faster page load times
  • Inline spell checker
  • Better page rendering
Cons
  • None
That's right, ladies and gentlymen! There are no, I repeat no cons for FF2 that can't be corrected with a few well chosen extensions. None!

So now which is better?

Another Success Story

Here's yet another Wii success story. This guy played several games for a decent amount of time, and absolutely loved it.

Excite Truck, one of the games reviewed in this guy's success story, uses the Wiimote steer the truck.

If you read on he says he now has saved up money to buy one when they're released.

Sweet PS3 Controllers

Whoa. I thought the Wiimote was amazing, but check out these sports related specialty controllers for the PS3. Too bad there won't be any decent games to use them with.

Think You'll Get Tired?

Did you think playing games on the Wii would wear you out? Did it seem too "physical?" This guy played for two hours and didn't get tired. At all.

Check it out.

The Wii features a "nunchuck" addon that allows special movements like two-handed boxing.

IMSafer

This piece of software is definitely a welcome development: a child-safe program that doesn't turn into an espionage operation. If only more filtering software was like this...

IMSafer only alerts parents of questionable chatting, instead of logging entire conversations.
